Team Building Activity: Sushi Showdown: Make the Best Roll to Win

Get rolling and ready for some serious fun with this team building activity led by Chef Chris. In this unique experience, your team will learn classic sushi recipes and methods from an expert before rolling up their own sushi creations to compete for the winning title of Sushi Extraordinaire.


After teams learn techniques for making sushi rice, selecting ingredients and rolling artful sushi rolls, they'll gear up for some friendly competition. Using various mix-in ingredients provided to them, they'll get innovative as they work together to create a sushi roll of their own. This team building activity will facilitate camaraderie and teamwork as the natural leaders and creative-thinkers of the group shine.


Teams can be judged on the uniqueness, presentation and overall taste of their sushi roll creations, and spirits will be high as everyone chows down on a fresh sushi feast.


MENU


All necessary utensils will be provided by the chef. The venue is required to have access to sinks nearby, tables set-up to prep and garbage containers. Chefs are able to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes in advance.

With sushi rice, nori, crab/surimi, avocado and cucumber


Shrimp Tempura Roll

Sushi rice, nori, tempura shrimp, cucumber and avocado


Various "Mix-in" Ingredients

With mango, jalapeño, sriracha mayo, pineapple, teriyaki and more

I loved this class! I’ve been searching for an affordable cooking class in Atlanta for a while and happened to come across this one. It was great! I really appreciated that we got to be involved in the entire process. I do wish there had been a bit more of a demo for the sauce, but I understand how that could be challenging in a restaurant setting. That said, I loved having the class in a restaurant space because it added to the experience. Chris was fantastic—very knowledgeable and helpful. At first, his teaching style felt a little formal, but as the class went on, his personality came through, and it became easier to relax and enjoy. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this class!

I had a great experience at the pasta-making class! The chefs were super nice, incredibly knowledgeable, and made the whole process fun and engaging. They took the time to explain each step, offered helpful tips, and made sure everyone felt comfortable, no matter their skill level. The only thing I would say is that we could have used a little more room to work, but overall, it was a fantastic experience. I learned so much, and the pasta we made was absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun and interactive cooking experience.
