Team Building Activity: Asian Cuisine Contest
Bust out your competitive streak for this thrilling cooking class involving a culinary contest! You'll be surprised how much fun it can be to craft gourmet dishes and simultaneously beat your rivals (or your coworkers) in a small team hands-on competition. Work with mystery ingredients in your team to design one of the courses on the menu. Under the guidance of a world-class chef, you'll learn the importance of balancing spices when you craft a variety of Asian recipes like shanghai pork soup dumplings, Korean-barbecue tacos, mapo tofu and a special dessert of Ube Turon.

Appetizer (Team 1) Shanghai Pork Soup Dumplings
With Chinkiang vinegar and ginger in in a bamboo steamer basket (vegan option available)
Entrée 1 (Team 2) Korean-BBQ Taco
With scallion cabbage slaw and short ribs in homemade kalbi marinade (vegan option available)
Entrée 2 (Team 3) Mapo Tofu
With organic tofu bathed in Sichuan bean paste, chili and black bean sauce
Dessert (Team 4) Ube Turon
With banana, purple yam and spring roll wrappers

She jumped around too much. She focused on too many things at once. It would’ve been nice to finish one thing and move onto. The next was hard to follow her.

Meet your chef
Chef Li is an experienced chef who has cooked and studied all around the world. She was formerly based in Singapore, where she offered private cooking classes as well as corporate cooking events. Now Chef Li offers cooking classes in the US, although her style is influenced by her international background. Although Chef Li specializes in traditional Chinese and Southeast Asian cuisine, she welcomes students of all culinary backgrounds and loves the chance to open their minds to new cooking styles.
