Team Building Activity: Custom Sushi Rolls for the Team
In this exciting interactive team building activity, the talented Chef Mai will guide your team through the basic steps of making sushi from scratch. Chef Mai will demonstrate how to make perfectly sticky rice and teach teams how to select and prepare ingredients from fresh fish to colorful produce.
Your team will work together to steam, slice and roll the ultimate melt-in-your-mouth sushi rolls, including the California roll and a shrimp tempura roll with various mix-in ingredients to choose from. Add spicy jalapeño, sweet pineapple and more. Vote to see which team member made the best sushi roll!

The problem is not the chef. The problem is the place where the class was. It is already cold, it is outdoors, we could barely hear, it took forever to eat a bite.

Chef Mai was amazing and did a great job adjusting her class to accommodate the mix of people who were there for business and others who were having a fun date night. The venue was outside at a brewery, I knew this beforehand and it was perfect! Being able to have a beer or two during an outdoor casual class was exactly what I was looking for for my date night.

Vietnam-born Chef Mai has crafted a culinary career in some of the most luxurious sushi kitchens in Hawaii and Washington DC. After teaching English in Vietnam for 12 years, Chef Mai moved to the U.S. and discovered a passion for cuisine while immersed in the beauty of the islands. Now, in addition to creating distinctive cuisine, Chef Mai relishes helping cooks develop their own talent for culinary artistry.
