There’s much more magic in your digital camera than automatic mode allows. In this online class with PhotoUno, you’ll learn step-by-step how to maximize various settings to capture beautiful landscapes and portraits. Topics covered include ISO, focusing, using aperture to create blurred backgrounds and landscapes, using shutter speed to achieve motion blur and action freeze effects. You’ll also be introduced to manual mode, as well as how to manage tricky lighting situations and use fill-in flash.
Each week, an instructor will review your photographs and help you learn how to make them more interesting. Once you’re finished, you’ll never depend on automatic mode again! For this class, students should have a DSLR camera, mirrorless camera or compact camera, which has Aperture (A/Av) Priority, Shutter (S/Tv) Priority and Manual Mode.

I just finished Digital Photo I. The class exceeded my expectations in every way. The teachers were wonderful and presented all information in a clear and comprehensive fashion. I had to miss one class due to a conflict, and they made it easy to make up that class. The printed materials you get as part of the class are very helpful. Before this class, I never moved out of Auto mode on my camera. Now I will never move out of Manual. I never though I would be able to learn so quickly or so well in just one course that this would be possible. I'm signing up for the next course now!
