This was such a fun workshop that I’d recommend to anyone wanting to use some creative energy, regardless of their experience level with art. Sivan did a great job of explaining each step and giving helpful recommendations to everyone who asked in a very hands off, unattached way, which really showed how committed she is to allowing each individual to be fully expressed in a way that feels right for them. She fostered a very supportive environment and it was so cool to watch others around me open up and liberate their feelings onto the canvas with a bunch of unexpected materials to create textures and effects. I left the workshop with gratitude of new learnings that I intend to incorporate into my own art practice.

Great workshop for people of all skill levels! It was a fun exploration that allowed you the freedom to try new art concepts, feel safe about stepping out of your comfort zone and all the materials needed right there.

What a wonderful workshop jam-packed with knowledge & wisdom to leave what's inside on the canvas! I really enjoyed how easily Sivan broke down different techniques & her quick demonstrations.
Instructor Sivan is an Oakland-based artist captivated by painting portals and optical illusions set against natural backdrops. She creates vibrant, psychedelic art using a mix of acrylics, sand, pen and acrylic medium. Her paintings often feature an underlying layer of journaling, imbuing each piece with deep personal significance, reflecting her journey through a major life transition. In addition to painting, Instructor Sivan enjoys exploring industrial arts such as woodworking, foundry and welding, Formerly an attorney, project manager and efficiency consultant, she now finds solace and expression in her art.
