Online Cooking Class: Showcase of Pumpkin

Chef Chris will highlight the range and diversity of this favorite fall ingredient with four different preparations. Enhance your culinary skills from baking bread to making compound butter while showcasing the versatile autumn squash. In this class, you will create a creamy, spiced pumpkin butter, fresh focaccia bread with caramelized squash, Thai coconut soup served inside a pumpkin and a silky maple-pumpkin panna cotta for dessert.

Spiced Pumpkin Butter Spread

Focaccia With Roasted Squash and Caramelized Onions 

With flour, yeast, olive oil and balsamic vinegar


Thai Coconut Squash Soup Served in a Pumpkin 

With kabocha squash, Thai yellow curry paste, ginger and onions


Pumpkin Maple Panna Cotta 

With heavy cream, gelatin (or agar agar), cinnamon and vanilla

My niece and I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta class with Chef Chris. We learned so much about the chemistry of cooling and how easy it really is to make incredibly tasty food from whole ingredients. Looking forward to making meals for our family in the upcoming holiday season- especially some homemade gelato/“ice cream”!
