Foodie Day Date Ideas

1. Take a Cooking Class Together

Whether you and your date are foodies or you don’t even know your way around the kitchen, cooking classes near you will make a fantastic day date idea. Learn to cook a new meal together and have fun doing it!

Make pasta in cooking classes in Milwaukee, try your hand at sushi in cooking classes in Indianapolis or make Mexican-inspired meals in cooking classes in Asheville. If there’s nothing nearby, online cooking classes are also a great option!

2. Have a Fancy Wine Tasting

A wine tasting is an excellent day date idea. It’s one of our favorite date ideas for married couples and first dates alike. Virtual wine tastings are great for days when you don’t want to go out, but still want to have an enjoyable date!

3. Make Your Own Cocktails

You may not want to hit the bar during the day like you would at night, but being your own bartender is a fun day date idea.

Gather some ingredients and find online mixology classes to take with your partner. You’ll have so much fun learning how to make your favorite cocktails together.

4. Visit a Local Farmers Market

If you’re looking for some nice weekday date ideas, consider taking a trip to a local farmers market. This is one of our favorite first date ideas, but even long-term couples can enjoy it.

Support local farmers and vendors by buying their products and produce and then head back home to try out your new purchases in the kitchen!

5. Go on a Local DIY Dessert Tour

If there are no “real” food tours in your area, don’t worry. Construct your own DIY dessert food tour for a fun day date idea for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Make a map of local restaurants, bakeries, and cafes that serve desserts. Ideally, you’ll be able to walk from one to the next. Then, split a dessert at every stop. You may end up finding your new favorite dessert spot in town!

Whether you’ve preceded this with a trip to the farmer’s market or this is a standalone activity, cooking together is a great day date idea. Work together to make a delicious breakfast, brunch, lunch or early supper.

If you prefer cooking dinner, gather your ingredients together during the day and turn cooking together into one of your new favorite weeknight date ideas.

7. Try a New Brunch Spot

How do you plan a day date? Start with an early meal by getting brunch. So long, dinner dates. Brunch dates are all the rage.

It’s time to make a list of couple painting ideas for this fun couple activity. Paint a mural together! If you don’t have an appropriate wall to paint on, buy a large piece of wood from your local home and garden store.
