Cooking Class: Cook an Emily in Paris-Inspired Dinner

In this cooking class, you´ll become Emily for a day and immerse into the Parisian cultural and culinary landscape. Chef Chriss crafted this French 4-course menu inspired by the popular Netflix show! 


To begin, you'll cook a fancy cheese soufflé made with gruyère, butter, nutmeg, eggs, milk and lemon juice. Next, you'll cook a buttery seared duck breast with Dijon cream sauce and other key ingredients such as tarragon, shallots, and white wine, siding it with creamy dauphinoise potatoes. You'll also master the art of bread by making a signature French baguette and pairing it with butter. And to end with an Emily-worthy dessert, you'll prepare a rich mousse au chocolate and fleur de sel. Bon appétit!

Cheese Soufflé

With eggs, milk, gruyère, butter, nutmeg and lemon juice


Seared Duck Breast and Dijon Cream Sauce

With tarragon, flour, butter, shallots, white wine and white pepper


Dauphinoise Potatoes

With cream, milk, black pepper, butter, gruyère and thyme


French Baguette and Butter

With eggs, sugar, vanilla and sea salt

Chris was personable and readily gave information and normalized French cooking. He was organized and we got four dishes done in the allotted time. The size of the class made it easy to relate.

My niece and I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta class with Chef Chris. We learned so much about the chemistry of cooling and how easy it really is to make incredibly tasty food from whole ingredients. Looking forward to making meals for our family in the upcoming holiday season- especially some homemade gelato/“ice cream”!

Chef Chris was working as an Italian teacher at UC Berkeley when he discovered his passion for cooking. Ever since then, he has been following his passion of cooking and teaching with a focus on regional Italian cuisine. He even co-founded a culinary event business to highlight his skills. Chef Chris teaches an array of different highly regarded cooking classes, many of which are created for corporate teambuilding. He also currently provides walking food tours of Little Italy.
