Master the delicate art of rolling sushi in this fun and hands-on cooking class led by Chef Demeisha. Under the guidance of a pro chef, you'll learn the techniques for creating two classic sushi rolls that taste as impressive as they look!
Start the lesson by learning the ideal method for cooking sushi rice, a key component in creating gourmet sushi. Then, you'll sharpen your knife skills as you slice up fresh produce that will be the filling for your California and veggie rolls. Afterward, Chef Demeisha will demonstrate how to layer crisp sheets of nori and your desired filling on cooled rice before carefully rolling them into sushi. Practice makes perfect, and this is an ideal class to take with friends so you can sample each other's sushi rolls while you work!
Cooking classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase alcoholic beverages from the venue to enjoy during the class.

Chef Demeisha was awesome! She explained everything thoroughly and showed us how to do things multiple times! She was very patient and helpful. We had lots of fun with her!

With more than a decade of culinary experience, Chef Demeisha is ready to share tips and techniques for creating delicious and nutritious recipes. Specialties include grilling and scratch cooking methods as well as kitchen safety, menu planning, staff training, maintaining proper inventory and ingredient sourcing. With a background in catering, concessions and sous chef responsibilities, Chef Demeisha uses excellent communication and time management skills to lead home chefs to success in fun and interactive sessions.Â
