Cooking Class: Creating Crunchy Tacos from Scratch

Take your taco-making skills up a notch in this interactive cooking class led by Chef Demeisha! Under the guidance of a pro chef, you'll learn to build layers of flavor by combining your choice of savory fillings with fresh toppings in a corn tortilla shell.
First, Chef will show you how to form and crisp up corn tortillas into taco shells. Next, you'll slice and dice your way through the proteins and veggies of your choice before cooking them up into an aromatic filling for your tacos. Finally, you'll assemble your perfect bite, using traditional Mexican garnishes of cilantro and onions. After taking this class, you'll have all the kitchen skills necessary to make taqueria-worthy tacos at home any time the craving strikes.
Cooking classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase alcoholic beverages from the venue to enjoy during the class.

With more than a decade of culinary experience, Chef Demeisha is ready to share tips and techniques for creating delicious and nutritious recipes. Specialties include grilling and scratch cooking methods as well as kitchen safety, menu planning, staff training, maintaining proper inventory and ingredient sourcing. With a background in catering, concessions and sous chef responsibilities, Chef Demeisha uses excellent communication and time management skills to lead home chefs to success in fun and interactive sessions.Â
