In this hands-on class with Chef Motoko, you will learn how to prepare the oh-so-popular Japanese savory pancakes, known as okonomiyaki, which literally means, "grilled how you like it."
Chef Motoko will begin the class by teaching you how to prepare your pancake batter from scratch, which will then be used to form the foundation for a symphony of crunchy and creamy textures packed with sweet, spicy, and umami flavors. You can also look forward to learning how to prepare a batch of stir-fry noodles to go with your pancakes.

Chef Motoko was wonderful and a pleasure to learn from, however the "class" was more of a demo. We basically watched Chef Motoko make the sushi and/or it was already pre-made and we ate it. We were hoping for a more hands on experience. A fun afternoon but just not what we expected.

I wished it was more hands on in making the actual sushi roll instead of having it premade. It was fun doing the hand roll but it wasn’t a cooking class that i expected. Not much hands on experience but visually looking. Please improve and have participants make the the sushi roll and participate in the rolling of the sushi rolls.

Chef Motoka is a wonderful person and very kind and loves to answer questions. That being said, the class itself was a disappointment. We didn't really get to make sushi. We watched as the chef rolled an avocado roll (we didn't roll anything) and then we made a handroll with some very low quality and still frozen salmon. The handroll was the equivalent of making a circular taco. It didn't feel like we learned a new skill, we just wrapped rice, avocado, salmon and cucumber into a seaweed square with our hands and ate it. We got three tiny slivers of salmon, a small tiny slide of avocado and three slivers of cucumber. The small amount of food would have been fine if we at least learned how to actually roll sushi...but we didn't so it felt like paying a lot of money for low grade sushi. I would have rather ordered some bomb takeout and watched a YouTube video for that same price. The rice was good though, and a lot of the food came from her garden, so that's nice and organic. Oh we also watched her make miso soup and then we ate it. Hardly a "cooking class". :/
