In this hands-on class, you'll learn cooking skills and techniques from Chef Mark that you never knew you needed in your kitchen arsenal. Discover how to make authentic paella from scratch with step-by-step guidance from Chef Mark. From saffron-scented rice to roasted vegetables and spicy sausage to steamed mussels, this paella truly has it all.
Cooking Classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Mark was great. I would of given this a lesser rating but I don’t want to show that it was Chef Mark’s fault. The venue was not ideal. It was scheduled on the night of a major concert around the corner and did not allow him to set up as he should have. He was not able to set up til over 30 minutes after the class was scheduled to start. He had to hurry through the set up but once the class started he was knowledgeable and made it enjoyable. Golden Apron chose the location and the venue agreed to it but I do not think there was any consideration or planning done on the front end to avoid the scheduling conflict.

Girls night out with Paella! Mark was super fun, offered not only the knowledge of paella but of any cooking question we posed. Mark made sure to engage all class members and we ended up with a wonderful dinner and conversation. I am confidently armed with knowledge to attempt to make paella for tonight’s dinner. Thank you for such a great night. Cannot wait to do more.

With more than two decades of experience in professional kitchens, Chef Mark has held a variety of different culinary roles. After working in various high-profile kitchens under prestigious titles such as executive sous chef, executive chef and senior chef manager, he now operates his own successful catering and personal chef service for all events ranging from family parties to formal soirées. Chef Mark looks forward to passing on his culinary wisdom and experience to you.
