Cooking Class: Make Terrific Traditional Tapas

Celebrate the specialties of Spanish tapas in this exciting in-person cooking class from Chef Chris. You'll learn the heritage behind the flavors as you create a selection of small bites to savor. 


Your lesson begins with a classic Catalan tomato bread flavored with earthy olive oil and garlic sea salt. Then, you'll make a zingy, refreshing soup featuring garlic and Spanish almonds. Create a zesty entrée using succulent Gulf shrimp and bring in the sweetness as you finish up with a Spanish almond tart for dessert.

The class was fantastic - Chef Chris is both a great teacher and fantastic company, and the food was delicious. I'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking to learn a few recipes, and/or enjoy a wonderful evening!

My niece and I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta class with Chef Chris. We learned so much about the chemistry of cooling and how easy it really is to make incredibly tasty food from whole ingredients. Looking forward to making meals for our family in the upcoming holiday season- especially some homemade gelato/“ice cream”!

Chef Chris was working as an Italian teacher at UC Berkeley when he discovered his passion for cooking. Ever since then, he has been following his passion of cooking and teaching with a focus on regional Italian cuisine. He even co-founded a culinary event business to highlight his skills. Chef Chris teaches an array of different highly regarded cooking classes, many of which are created for corporate teambuilding. He also currently provides walking food tours of Little Italy.
