Cooking Class: Learn the Art of Hawaiian Poke

Poke bowls are a beloved feature of native Hawaiian cuisine and you'll learn the art of crafting a fresh, colorful bowl in this hands-on cooking class. Culinary expert Chef Andrew will teach you the history of fresh Aku poke as you develop chef-approved knifework skills and craft an unforgettable meal.


Poke bowls are all about balancing textures and various flavors. You'll start off by making aromatic jasmine rice seasoned by sesame, cilantro and lime. Then, learn a lemongrass marinade recipe for fresh tuna and toss together a spicy pickled cucumber salad for your toppings. You'll also make a refreshing napa cabbage slaw, a creamy wasabi aioli and perfectly crisp fried wontons to create a bold, vibrantly flavored bowl that's perfect for hot summer days.
