Cooking Class: Foundations of Pasta Making

Learn the foundations of pasta making from Chef Julia, a trained "pastaia" — pasta maker — in this interactive cooking class. To begin, you'll whip up a vibrant pesto to toss with endives and arugula for a fresh bite to start the meal. Then you'll learn the art of preparing tagliatelle pasta by hand with the guidance of Chef Julia. You'll top this special pasta with a robust tomato sauce. For dessert, you'll fry angle hair pasta to create a crunchy base for a sweet dessert topped with crème fraîche, nutty pistachios and honey.

Pesto-Tossed Endive and Arugula Salad

With basil, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, Parmesan, endive and arugula


Hand Cut Tagliatelle all' Amatriciana

With pancetta, red pepper flakes, onion, garlic, tomatoes and pecorino


Fried Sweet Pasta

With angel hair, crème fraîche, pistachios, orange zest, cinnamon and honey

Chef Julia is a talented chef, especially with pasta. If you are looking to learn about pastas I highly recommend taking her class. She is also a private chef. She looks forward to sharing her skills with her guests.
