Cooking Class: Perfecting the Pizza

Learn how to make delicious homemade pizza in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Ashley. You'll learn all the ins and outs of pizza making, including how to make dough with the perfect consistency and how to bake it. By the time class ends, you'll be a pizza-making professional. To start, you'll prepare a tangy pear and gorgonzola salad with mixed greens and vinaigrette. Then, you'll make both a traditional Margherita pizza as well as a savory sausage, grape and onion pizza.  Finally, your pizza-making workshop will end with a dessert of sfinci, authentic Sicilian fried donuts tossed in cinnamon sugar.

Pizza Dough

With all-purpose flour, water, olive oil, yeast, salt and honey


Pear and Gorgonzola Salad

With mixed greens, sliced red onions and vinaigrette


Pizza Margherita

With marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and basil


Italian Sausage and Sautéed Grape Pizza

With onions


Sfinci

Sicilian fried donuts with flour, butter, eggs and cinnamon sugar
