Learn how to recreate favorite Chinese takeout recipes in your own kitchen with this interactive cooking class with Chef David. Under the guidance of the chef, you will make savory sauces, crispy dumplings and hearty fried rice from start to finish. Practice your knife cuts and basic cooking skills as you prepare a takeout feast of pork and vegetable-filled dumplings with homemade dipping sauce, a rich beef and broccoli dish and classic vegetable fried rice. Finish the meal with delicately sweetened almond cookies for dessert.

Meet your chef
With experience as a private chef, Chef David brings years of knowledge and skills to the culinary classroom. He honed his skills under the guidance of a James Beard Award-winning chef at one of Chicago's most famous restaurants. Over the past five years, Chef David has worked as a culinary instructor at one of Chicago's premier cooking schools where he teaches interactive cooking classes. Topics range from the basic building blocks of cooking to intensive boot camp-style classes.
