Cooking Class: Asian-Vegetarian Fusion Feast

This cooking class centers on Asian fusion — a unique blend of ancient Asian culinary traditions with modern sensibilities, such as vegetarianism. Chef Aleck will teach you how to incorporate classic ingredients with smart cooking techniques. First, you’ll pickle a variety of fresh vegetables, including daikon radishes, into kimchi. You’ll then create vegetarian maki and sushi using tofu, eggplant, tomato and yellow squash. For the main course, you’ll prepare a delectable pad see ew with mushrooms and coconut aminos. To finish the meal, Chef Aleck will teach you how to make sweet sticky rice with strawberries, mango and pineapple.

With cabbage, shallot, garlic, onion, vinegar, ginger and scallions


Tofu Maki and Vegetable Sushi 

With rice, cucumber, yellow squash, eggplant and tomato


Pad See Ew 

With rice noodles, mushrooms, coconut aminos, sesame oil and peanuts


Sticky Rice 

With strawberries, mango and pineapple
