Cooking Class: Flavorful Korean-Lowcountry Fusion
In this memorable fusion cooking class, you’ll put a Korean twist on South Carolina Lowcountry favorites. Chef Elon will teach you how to prepare Lowcountry staples that burst with Korean flavors — a perfect marriage of these two distinct cuisines. You’ll first make chicken grits with soy sauce, brown sugar and ginger. For the main attraction, you’ll cook a Gulf shrimp boil with Korean sweet potatoes, corn and gochujang (Korean hot sauce). To finish the meal, Chef Elon will demonstrate how to make mochi cupcakes drizzled in sweet tea glaze.

We all had a great time. Chef Elon kept us busy learning this American Korean dish. Was soooo good. The molasses cookies and whipped coffee topped off our dinner perfectly.

Chef Elon was fantastic and is such a great teacher! He is a top notch professional and has a wealth of culinary knowledge. He engaged us the entire time and we didn’t want the class to end.
