Cooking Class: Authentic Italian Favorites
In this exciting cooking class, you’ll learn how to make a simple yet delicious Italian menu. Chef Jalen will teach you about plating presentation, cooking techniques, proper seasoning and more. For the appetizers, you’ll prepare a fresh Caesar salad and crispy eggplant. For the main course, you’ll make authentic al dente pasta, paired with hearty ricotta-stuffed meatballs. To cap the meal, Chef Jalen will teach you how to craft doughnuts from scratch, accompanied with non-dairy ice cream and a rich chocolate drizzle.

We really enjoyed our class with Chef Jalen! He was very knowledgeable and organized. He was such a good teacher as he kept us engaged and answered all of our questions. We learned some great new tips and techniques that will help us recreate these wonderful dishes. I highly recommend Chef Jalen to all those in Charlotte!
Chef Jalen’s culinary career has taken him from being line cook, sous chef or kitchen manager at various restaurants to a lead position at a highly regarded Chinese bistro. He’s also a culinary entrepreneur, running a private chef and catering company. Chef Jalen’s experience working on the East Coast eventually led him to Charlotte, where he now happily shares his passion for international cuisine with students and aspiring chefs of all skill levels.
