Join Chef Karen on a fun and interactive cooking class adventure into poke bowl preparation and presentation. After learning cutting and slicing skills, mixing and marinating techniques, and rice steaming procedures, you'll assemble traditional Hawaiian poke bowls using rice, cured salmon, shoyu, scallions, sesame, edamame and cucumber. Family and friends will request these nutritious, flavorful and colorful creations as appetizers or main courses for parties, group gatherings and weeknight dinners.
Cooking classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase beer to enjoy during the class.

Meet your chef
After spending her entire life experimenting in the kitchen and tending a garden, Chef Karen decided to make cooking her profession and attended culinary school in 2012. Since graduating, she has worked in some of Seattle's best restaurants and, after a few years in catering, has turned to food as wellness. Chef Karen now hosts a variety of interactive culinary experiences, including private events at local farms and classes for home cooks of all calibers.
