Cooking Class: Traditional Japanese Comfort Food
In this fun, interactive cooking class, Chef Melissa will teach you how to make three classic Asian comfort foods. You will learn the skills, techniques and recipes needed to whip up these flavor-packed dishes. First, you’ll make a popular Japanese street food — okonomiyaki — a savory pancake piled high with delicious toppings. You’ll then prepare a yellow, miso-mustard ramen with fresh Hokkaido scallops. For dessert, you’ll craft a stack of matcha crêpes topped with ice cream. If you want a true taste of Japan, take this class!

When I booked the class with ClassPop, the website said the class was in Boston. In actually, the class was one hour each way from Boston. I was visiting Boston and could not drive one hour each way to class. By the time I notified Chef Melissa I was not able to attend, she understandably said she could not refund because she already had expenses. I have no ill will or opinion of Chef Melissa, but I do have a big problem with the misrepresentation of the ClassPop website saying the class was in Boston when it was not.
