Chef John showed how to properly cut a red onion and talked about the versatility of onions. He used it to make a homemade onion vinaigrette dressing that could be used in a number of different ways from a dressing to a marinade for chicken. He is a very knowledgeable chef where you will definitely walk away with more knowledge than you came in with.
Chef John has an eclectic culinary background encompassing a broad range of cuisine. From Italian food to artisan bread, from Asian fare to breakfast favorites: Chef John has cooked it. He currently works as a baker, and has catered many weddings and special events. While attending Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Paris, Chef John worked as a student ambassador.
