In this hands-on cooking class — perfect for beginners — Chef Mo will teach you how to prepare four elegant yet simple dishes. You’ll leave with new recipes, improved knife skills and the techniques needed to conquer your own kitchen. To start, you’ll make mini crab cakes — always a crowd pleaser — and a refreshing wedge salad. For the entree, you’ll prepare a flavor-exploding shrimp and steak surf and turf. You’ll finish the meal with homemade ice cream sundaes, topped with pecans and heavy cream.

Chef Mo’s passion for food roots back to her childhood spent watching her great-grandmother cook. She began her career in the culinary industry over 10 years ago and has cooked everything from Italian cuisine and Hispanic fare to vegan food. Chef Mo has worked all over the U.S., from Miami and Missouri to Pennsylvania, cooking in fine-dining settings, high-end hotels, upscale casual restaurants and even hospitals.
