Learn the ancient craft of bread making in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Tess. Enhance your culinary repertoire with this foundational skill by exploring three unique types of bread. Start by creating a classic sourdough loaf using wild starter, flour and water, and learn proper sourdough starter care so you can continue to bake fresh bread at home. Next, you will make traditional pita to pair with homemade hummus. Finally, prepare a classic Ligurian focaccia bread bursting with rich olive oil, briny olives and fresh rosemary.

I loved the class! Test did a great job with balancing modeling and involving our group. I enjoyed the class being at her house around the big island. It felt casual enough that it wasn’t intimidating but I learned a lot. I also loved eating the food at the end of the night.
