Learn how to create a tantalizing tray of hors d'oeuvres in this fun and interactive cooking class with Chef Juan. You'll start with a smoked salmon tartare with green goddess guacamole and a miso cocktail shrimp flavored with a sweet chili marinade. Next comes a beet salad with ricotta and goat cheese and Rockefeller mushrooms with spinach, shallots and parsley. Finish off this appetizer-inspired menu with chocolate flan with heavy cream, dark chocolate flakes and macadamia nuts.

Blazing Miso Cocktail Shrimp

With vanilla beans, heavy cream, dark chocolate flakes and macadamia nuts

Could not more highly recommend this class! Chef Juan and Chef David were amazing, educational, entertaining/funny, and we had a blast. We were a group of 19 people, but despite our size they made it engaging and hilarious. Learned a handful of new cooking tips to bring home -and btw, the cooking tips extend beyond just guacamole and salsa; we learned some solid chopping skills and knife handling tips which will serve for years to come. 10/10 would recommend.

Highly recommend! The class was fun, food was delicious, and we learned a lot of great tips about cooking from Chef Juan. The brewery venue had convenient parking and a great drink selection!
Meet your chef
Chef Juan has a wide range of experience in the culinary world, including working as the Chef de Partie for a well-known American steakhouse, working as a catering director, and most recently, as a freelance chef. Chef Juan has a passion for preparing food from scratch, which he imbues into his classes with energy and insight. Always the teacher, Chef Juan's desire to create a learning environment means you can expect a comfortable, open dynamic in his classes.
