Cooking Class: Kombucha Brewing 101

Learn how to properly make, store and flavor your own kombucha in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Carolina. She will show you how to use basic ingredients and equipment likely already in your pantry to brew up this fizzy, flavorful drink and will also share tips for troubleshooting, SCOBY care and more! After learning the science behind kombucha, you'll flavor your SCOBY and set it up for fermentation. After a week or so, you'll be ready to enjoy your bubbly and slightly tart beverage boasting flavor notes of green apple and sour stone fruits. In addition to its refreshing flavor and subtle sweetness, kombucha also offers a whole host of health benefits.

I took Chef Carolina’s Italian class with my work team last fall, and knew I wanted to do the Mexican class with friends for my birthday. It did not disappoint! Chef and her family make the experience so fun, everyone wanting to come back another time soon. Her backyard is also beautiful, such a fun place to cook. Thank you, Chef! See you again soon. :)
