Cooking Class: Creole Classics on the Bayou

Exotic flavors and elegance meld together with soul-warming comfort foods in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Shelley.
You'll start with savory Cajun blackened salmon over a Creole succotash. Next, you will learn how to prepare a dark roux for gumbo with andouille sausage, chicken and okra. You'll finish with an old fashioned banana pudding and a discussion on the difference between Cajun and Creole cuisines as you enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Chef Shelley was a joy to cook with and learn from. She has a wealth of stories due to her many experiences as a chef, restauranteur, and more! She was welcoming and the food was YUM-mazing! We went for a company team building and we’re really able to unwind and enjoy. We highly recommend!

She has cooked for many celebrities and well-known dignitaries throughout her career. She is the former owner of a popular Brooklyn restaurant and has hosted many dining events. Chef Shelley also specializes in a wide array of cooking classes for children and adults.
