Cooking Class: Iconic Spain and Portugal Cuisine
Discover the exciting flavors of Iberia in this cooking class with Chef Gustavo. You'll explore the countries of Spain and Portugal across three authentic courses using high-quality ingredients distinctive of the region. First, you'll prepare gambas al ajillo diablo with garlic, parsley, lemon juice, white wine and hot dry peppers. Next, you'll make a traditional paella Valenciana using pork, chicken, green beans, rice, alubia beans, paprika and saffron. Finally, you'll end class with light crêpes choosing between dulce de leche or Nutella filling.

This was the first time we attended an experience like this. It was amazing. I would recommend every person but especially couples to take this class. Such a nice person and what a chef, sharing his experience. We just loved it. Thank you Chef Gustavo. We will be back soon🙏

Meet your chef
As owner and executive chef of the lively and eclectic Rumba Cafe in Washington, D.C.'s Adams Morgan district for 20 years, Chef Gustavo has a deep love and appreciation for Latin American cuisine. He brings international inspiration from his travels through Latin America, France, Spain and the Caribbean. Chef Gustavo studied at the prestigious L'Academie de Cuisine and is available to teach cooking classes in both English and Spanish.
