Cooking Class: A Taste of Cape Cod

The flavors of New England come alive in a menu inspired by Chef Deb’s summers in Cape Cod. In this hands-on cooking experience, she’ll teach you to recreate a selection savory traditional dishes near and dear to her heart!

 

Chef Deb shares tips on sourcing authentic ingredients as she teaches you to prepare New England clam chowder, a creamy coleslaw made from scratch and a pan-fried cod filet and tartar sauce that becomes a satisfying sandwich. And if it’s Cape Cod, dessert must be a mini-Boston cream pie to bring your seafaring culinary voyage to a sweet conclusion.


MENU


New England Clam Chowder 

With shucked clams, white wine, celery, carrots, onions and potatoes


Wild Caught Atlantic Cod Sandwich 

With tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, homemade tartar sauce and a grilled roll


New England Style Coleslaw 

With green cabbage, carrots and cider vinegar


Mini Boston Cream Pie 

With butter cake, vanilla pastry cream and chocolate glaze

We had a fantastic evening with Chef Deb! Her house was beautiful and we felt very welcome and comfortable the whole time. The food was nothing less than amazing and Deb was a wonderful teacher -- very relaxed. It was definitely an exquisite, no-pressure experience overall and we learned how to make some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten. We are now interested in taking more classes from Deb.
