Chef Gustavo shares his expertise in Ibero-American fusion cuisine in this hands-on course, perfect for a romantic evening in the kitchen! You’ll prepare shrimp with garlic, parsley and dried chile de árbol as you master the art of sautéing. Then, you’ll craft a green plantain cake and learn to fillet fresh fish like a professional to create fillets wrapped in banana leaves and guajillo paste. Your date night enchantment concludes on a sweet note with a decadent dessert of sweet crêpes

My friend and I went as a date night and we had a blast. Chef Gustavo explains everything so well and made it fun and easy. Everything tasted amazing. Make sure you come hungry because there was so much to eat. Also there is free 4 hr parking across the street by the field, which he recommended!

As owner and executive chef of the lively and eclectic Rumba Cafe in Washington, D.C.'s Adams Morgan district for 20 years, Chef Gustavo has a deep love and appreciation for Latin American cuisine. He brings international inspiration from his travels through Latin America, France, Spain and the Caribbean. Chef Gustavo studied at the prestigious L'Academie de Cuisine and is available to teach cooking classes in both English and Spanish.
