Cooking Class: Italian Pizza and Tiramisu With Chef Francesca
Learn the time-honored technique to make Italian-style pizza and a sweet tiramisu in this cooking class.
You'll begin this unique cooking experience by learning how to make pizza dough from scratch, combining flour, eggs and water. Learn how to knead the dough and let it rise before shaping it into pizza crusts. Craft a refreshing Margherita pizza with San Marzano tomatoes and creamy mozzarella topped with extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil leaves. Next, craft a pizza topped with mushrooms and truffle seasoning. Bake your creations until golden brown and crispy and feast on your authentic pizzas. Finish off the meal by layering ladyfingers with mascarpone, cocoa and coffee for a decadent tiramisu.

Chef Francesca is great! I would have liked a more hands on experience. Felt like we were made to watch her most of the time and I’m more of a tactile learner but I guess her place doesn’t allow for that. She made the sauces, so the student didn’t really get to try their hand at that either. This class is for the super novice student and I guess that’s not me.

Chef Francesca’s pasta making class was an amazing experience! She is very warm and welcoming while also incredibly knowledgeable about authentic Italian cooking. She shared a recipe from her home island Sardinia which was delicious! Would definitely recommend her classes to beginner cooks and experienced cooks, no matter what you will walk away with a smile, new knowledge, and a full stomach!

Chef Francesca was born and raised in Sardinia, Italy, and discovered her passion for cuisine at an early age. Her greatest love is cooking traditional foods from her homeland using traditional techniques to create authentic homemade pastas, sauces and desserts.
