Master quick and easy meal prep in this hands-on cooking class focused on chopping, slicing and dicing.
With step-by-step instructions from Chef Michael, you will learn to make restaurant-quality cuisine. After some instruction and demonstrations from the chef, you'll use your newfound knife skills to expertly break down a whole chicken, dice and rough cut locally sourced, fresh vegetables and prepare the ingredients for a hearty and satisfying chicken noodle soup. Stocks and sauces and other essential culinary skills will also be covered. End your engaging culinary session by sampling your freshly prepared creations while socializing with friends, old and new. Then, take your recipes and skills home to recreate the menu for family and friends!
MENU
Breaking Down Whole Chicken
With usage of several different knives and vegetarian or pescatarian options available
Practicing Knife Cuts
With small-to-large dice, Julienne, Batonnet, Brunoise, rough cut, chiffonade and others
Chicken Noodle Soup
With stock, vegetables, chicken (or a vegetarian option) and freshly chopped herbs
Stocks and Sauces
With various vegetables and kitchen staples

We were visiting San Diego for a week and wanted to have a chef prepare our meals and we were lucky enough to find Chef Michael. He was so friendly and easy to work with and accommodated all of our different dietary needs from pescatarian, to no fish, to FODMAP diet, to 3 toddlers. Each day he prepared wonderful meals with the freshest ingredients and it was always the perfect amount. The salads were amazing and the meat cooked perfectly. He prepared, cooked and had it all cleaned up and we couldn't have asked for more. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and my entire family was so appreciative that we met him. If you're planning a party, wanting a plated meal or more family style Michael can make it happen.

Thank you chef Michael for a fantastic dinner you put together so quickly. My family all enjoyed the appetizers and family style meal you prepared and my three year old loved her pasta. We were all impressed by how quickly and cleanly you put everything together. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a private chef.
