Cooking Class: Sushi Making With Chef Dylan at a Local Wine Bar

Learn how to make two types of sushi rolls by hand in this cooking class with Chef Dylan.


Chef Dylan will teach you how to make the perfect seasoned sushi rice to be the base of your rolls. Then, practice your knife skills by slicing and chopping fresh avocado, cucumber and mango. Spread out the sushi rice onto nori sheets, then layer your fresh ingredients. Combine avocado, cucumber and surimi to make a classic California roll. Then, make a crisp vegetable roll with avocado, cucumber and mango. Then, learn the technique to roll the sushi up by hand and cut the rolls into bite-sized pieces. At the end of the class, indulge in your homemade feast and revel in your newfound sushi skills.

Great guy and full of ideas. The class was limited in what it did. I thought it was more. But for the cost it was nice. The bar in the background had the music up to loud for me. I wear hearing aids and could not hear what the other said.
