Cooking Class: Make Tempura Pickles and Sushi Rolls With Chef Jesse
Join Chef Jesse to learn the time-honored technique of tempura and making bite-sized sushi rolls in this cooking class.
Begin the class by making the perfect tempura batter with flour, cornstarch and sparkling water. Then, coat the dill pickles in the tempura batter and fry it until golden brown and crispy. Next, you'll learn how to roll sushi like a professional chef. Spread seasoned sushi rice on nori sheets before layering julienned carrots and the tempura pickles. Master the technique of rolling, then cut the sushi into pieces. Finish with sesame seeds before enjoying the fruits of your labor.

Chef Jesse brings over 14 years of experience in the culinary arts and hospitality, with an evident joy for curating unforgettable dining experiences. He has served his love for fine cuisine as a sous chef, lead cook and executive chef. Jesse graduated from Patapsco High & Center For Arts and holds a ServeSafe Management and Food Handler certificate. His grand portfolio of skills includes food production, restaurant management, menu planning and much more.
