Learn the basics of Japanese cuisine and sushi in this cooking class with Chef John while using fresh, high-quality ingredients and easy-to-master techniques.
After beginning by brewing a batch of golden miso soup, you will learn how to treat rice for sushi, basic knife skills, and sushi rolling techniques. You can also look forward to concocting a delicious sushi dipping sauce!
Cooking Classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase beer to enjoy during the class.

What a wonderful evening! I took my girlfriend for her birthday and we had a blast. The environment, conversation, energy, quality of the food and ingredients and anything I may have missed were all top notch. I can’t wait to book again with Chef John!

Chef John was amazing and we had the best time! It was our first time ever doing a private class and he made it fun and engaging the entire time. He answered all of our many questions and took the time explaining why each ingredient is important for both taste and health benefits! Strongly recommend booking him for your next lesson! It was an anniversary my gf and I will never forget! Awesome experience

Had so much fun! Took my mother as a Mother’s Day gift. Engaging chef is a great conversationalist. Which only makes the food that much better when it’s served and you realize he can talk the talk and walk the walk. Would be excellent with friends, a romantic date, or a gift to a parent for a fun relaxing night out. Learned some great tips and can now make a great French dinner!
