Cooking Class: Make a Japanese Feast With Chef Timothy

Explore the art of Japanese cuisine in this immersive cooking class led by Chef Timothy. 


Under his expert guidance, you'll learn the time-honored techniques to make four decadent dishes.


Begin the class by making flavorful aji tamago. Make the perfect soft-boiled eggs seasoned with sake, rice vinegar and tamari to start the meal. Next, make a chicken and egg bowl, oyakondon, with dashi stock and Kewpie mayo. Next, make ramen filled with fresh snow crab, udon noodles and shiitake mushrooms in a dashi-seafood broth. You'll end the meal on a sweet note with fluffy soufflé pancakes made with egg whites and milk. Top it with a homemade matcha whipped cream, raspberries and maple syrup for a decadent dessert.

Aji Tamago (Ramen Eggs)

With soft-boiled eggs, mirin, rice vinegar, tamari, sake and brown sugar


Oyakodon (Chicken and Egg Bowl)

With eggs, dashi stock, scallions, chicken, eggs, spices and kewpie


Seafood Ramen

With assorted seafood, dashi-seafood broth, tofu, Shiitake mushrooms, snow crab and udon noodles


Soufflé Pancakes With Matcha Whipped Cream

With egg whites, egg yolk-flour base, milk, matcha, heavy whipping cream, raspberries, mint and maple syrup

This was the first time that my wife and I had taken a cooking course. There was virtually no instruction unless you were one of the lucky ones around the table that happened to be in front of him while he demonstrated. The resulting product was not really edible. The rice was a mushy mess. The whole time the class felt rushed and disorganized.

Chef was great but the food was not great quality and the rice was cooked weird.

Absolutely loved this class. Chef Timothy was very knowledgeable and informative. It was just a really cool and unique experience. The sushi was also delicious! :)
