Cooking Class: Cooking With Indian Spices

Explore the rich spices that bring depth and flavor to Indian cuisine in this interactive cooking class.


Join Chef Jay for a fun and informative look at cooking Indian cuisine bursting with aromatic spices. Begin the class by chopping fresh cilantro, mint and green chili to make a green Hari chutney flavored with garlic and ginger. Next, make a favorite dish: tikka masala. You'll learn how to blend a variety of spices into a creamy, tomato-based sauce. Mix in tender chicken or crisp vegetables for a filling dish. Then, you'll combine Greek yogurt and cucumbers and season with cumin and garlic to make a creamy raita to enjoy on the side. Finish the meal on a sweet note with an authentic mango lassi. Mix honey and cardamom into full-fat yogurt and top with mangos for a decadent dessert.
