Cooking Class: Make Vegan Italian Classics With Chef Megan
Discover how to make your favorite Italian recipes vegan in this hands-on cooking class led by Chef Megan.
You'll learn how to make four decadent courses that are all plant-based. Begin the class with a refreshing panzanella salad. Chop cucumbers, sweet peppers and tomatoes and combine with a crispy baguette. Drizzle with a homemade dressing made with balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. Discover the secret to making egg-less pasta dough from scratch, then shape ridged shells from scratch. Next, craft a rustic ragù filled with lentils, carrots, celery and walnuts to pair with the pasta. Whip up a homemade pesto with pine nuts, basil and garlic and mix in handmade pasta, green beans and red potatoes. Finish the meal with a vegan panna cotta made with coconut cream, vanilla and an orange and Amaro compote.

I surprised my husband who loves to cook with this experience. He was blown away and loved the extra little tips about the tools we use every day in the kitchen. The salad dressing from scratch and blow torch stole the show! It was incredibly memorable!

Chef Megan is a professionally-trained classical chef with a passion for fine food. She has over ten years of professional cooking experience and has worked in culinary positions including chef, recipe developer and cooking class instructor. Currently, she hosts private cooking classes and works as a sous chef at a local gourmet food truck. In addition to these roles, Chef Megan is also working on her own cooking show.
