Cooking Class: Chef-Led Sushi Showdown

Gear up for a little friendly competition to show off your new culinary skills with this traditional Japanese-inspired cooking class, led by Chef Heidi. Practice your knife skills as you slice and dice ingredients for your rolls like cucumber, avocado and other specialty ingredients like mango or jalapeno. Mix up a batch of sticky rice to hold everything together, then layer everything on Nori sheets and master the art of bamboo rolling to create picture-perfect, even rolls. Be bold with your flavor combinations to present to the judges in hopes of winning the sushi competition. After enjoying your handmade sushi rolls, move on to whisking up a light tempura batter. Coat jumbo shrimp and gently fry in bubbling oil to create crunchy tempura shrimp with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce to conclude this immersive experience.
