The Empanada Masterclass. From Spain to our tables! Empanadas have a rich and diverse history that spans centuries and continents. Originating in Spain, these savory pastries were brought to Latin America by Spanish colonizers during the Age of Exploration. The word "empanada" comes from the Spanish verb "empanar," which means to wrap or coat in bread. We will be learning the making of the dough and filling, and will be trying a couple of varieties. We will be exploring the history of European cuisine and cultures, using Empanada making as our main focus.
Cooking classes on Classpop! are designed to be fun, social events. Feel free to purchase wine or beer at the venue to enjoy during the class.
Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated if noted prior to the event. Please mention this in the message field when you submit your booking request as adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.

I had the pleasure of planning the Birthday party of my husband Jim, and Chef Carlos gave us his A+ game recently and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The food was expertly crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Chef Carlos’ passion for cooking was evident in every bite, and his attention to detail was truly impressive. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and try more of Carlos’ delicious creations. Highly recommend it!

Hiring Chef Carlos as our personal chef was the best decision we ever made! From the moment he walked into our home, we knew we were in for a treat. His culinary skills are unmatched, and each meal he prepared for us was a true masterpiece.
