Cooking Class: The Art of Tamales

Dive into Mexican cuisine in this hands-on cooking class. Chef Ben will teach you the art of making tamales from scratch using authentic techniques.


First, you'll learn the recipe for making the dough using fresh masa. Practice knife skills to chop chicken and vegetables and cook them in broth to make both vegetable and chicken fillings. Learn the proper technique to steam cook the tamales until tender. Whip up a fresh salsa with green chiles, tomato, lime and cilantro to serve with your dish and enjoy your handmade feast.

Ben did great and very informative and great instructor. Did have problem with the equipment (pasta maker) not working it’s best. I would recommend this specific class to our network, loved it.
