Cooking Class: Persian Brunch Specialties

Transport yourself to the Middle East for this immersive cooking class. Chef Jay will guide you through a menu that will infuse your brunch with flavor. To begin, you'll whip up fresh hummus from scratch that you'll season with regional spices such as sumac or Za'atar. Next, practice knife skills cutting boiled eggs and potatoes for the beloved Olvieh salad coated in mayonnaise and lemon juice dressing and topped with poached chicken. Finish by making delicate watermelon salad with crumbled feta and fresh mint to round out the meal.


MENU


Hummus

With chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, olive oil, cumin, salt and topped with olive oil, paprika, sumac or Za’atar


Olvieh Salad

With poached chicken breast, Russet potatoes, dill pickles, peas, eggs, mayonnaise, salt, pepper and fresh lemon juice


Watermelon Feta Salad

With watermelon, fresh mint, basil (optional), feta cheese, salt, extra virgin olive oil and lime or lemon juice dressing
