Cooking Class: Making Ramen From Scratch

From brewing the savory stock to slow-cooking pork belly to making ramen noodles from scratch, Chef Diego will teach you everything you need to know to make traditional tonkotsu dash ramen at home.


You'll never want to order take-out ramen again after learning Chef Diego's expert tips and tricks to making from-scratch ramen. You'll begin by slow-cooking pork belly, or chashu, marinating soft-boiled eggs, or nitamago, brewing a rich broth of dashi, or kombu and fish, and making homemade noodles. Chef Diego will show you how to assemble your bowl of ramen ingredient by ingredient, then it's time to enjoy your masterpiece!

Cooking Classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase beer to enjoy during the class.

Besides being very personable and great instructor, Chef Diego is clearly one of the most talented chefs around. He provided a bit of history for each dish, as well as taught us useful cooking tips. Overall, a great dining experience. I'd definitely recommend his cooking classes to anyone who values great food, high quality instruction and learning more about culinary traditions from around the world.
