Learn the Vietnamese way to make delicious, savory crêpes in this immersive cooking class. Chef Mai will teach the techniques and recipes to make mouth-watering bánh xèo that's sure to be your new favorite snack. First, you'll learn how to make the crêpe batter using rice flour, all-purpose flour and coconut milk. Then, learn the technique to pour the batter and spread it thin. Cook it golden and crispy then pile it high with shrimp, pork, onions, bean sprouts, lettuce and more toppings. Finish the class by enjoying your homemade feast.

Chef Mai was warm, prepared and put together a wonderful sushi making class for our company's holiday party. We ended up with a delicious dinner, and had a lot of fun getting there! She was very generous with the portions she brought, and went beyond the discussed menu/ingredients. She works a day job, so responses by email can be a little slow, but was very responsive by text. We had a great time!

Vietnam-born Chef Mai has crafted a culinary career in some of the most luxurious sushi kitchens in Hawaii and Washington DC. After teaching English in Vietnam for 12 years, Chef Mai moved to the U.S. and discovered a passion for cuisine while immersed in the beauty of the islands. Now, in addition to creating distinctive cuisine, Chef Mai relishes helping cooks develop their own talent for culinary artistry.
