Chef Derrick was fantastic! He was thorough and patient, while also funny/entertaining. I feel fully confident in my ability to make pasta and pesto from scratch; I did bring a pen so I was able to add notes to the recipe sheet he provided :) The pasta was delicious and I cannot wait to make it again on my own. Thank you, Chef Derrick!

I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone considering a creative twist to date night. My husband and I were celebrating my birthday and this class happened to be at our favorite brewery called Everywhere. We had an absolutely wonderful time with Chef Derrick. He was so much fun! We couldn’t stop laughing and were fully engaged throughout the class. He taught us so much and even recommended tools and attachments for us to recreate the meal at home. Cheers to homemade meals, drinks, and new friends!

Class was in tables in the patio of a brewery. I think this took away from the experience for me and wished it was held inside or a better location with an actual room, perhaps a kitchen. The rain didn’t help either because it was cold. It was hard to see at times what he was doing when he was cutting or preparing the ingredients because of bags and other materials near his cutting board. Overall, I think it just needed a better set up.

Very thorough and friendly!! Brought my friend to a sushi course at a brewery and we both enjoyed it and took home extra sushi!! Weirdly therapeutic to watch him slice veggies :)

Chef Derrick was funny, informative, and makes everyone in the group feel included and welcomed. Techniques were spot on and I did not realize how hard it was to make pasta. Definitely have a new-found appreciation for hand-made pasta.

This was my very first time attending a cooking class as well as the first time using Classpop and I'm super happy to say my experience was absolutely incredible on both accounts. First of all, Classpop was great with their communication and updates as my cooking class date approached. They've also been great with their follow-up to make sure everything went smooth. On class day, my group of 4, arrived to the location which was a brewery. We enjoyed a delicious pint before heading into the cooking area room for class. Chef Derrick had it all set up including aprons, gloves and plenty of tasting spoons! His fun personality and cooking style made the class so interesting, fun and easy to learn. Not only did I learn how to make pasta & pesto but it was REALLY delicious too!! Attending this class helped me gain a sense of cooking confidence to make my own pasta and pesto!! Super fun, I highly recommend Chef Derrick and his cooking class extraordinaire!!

Chef Derrick was an excellent teacher. He explained all the steps clearly, was patent, and very funny. By the end of our class we were all eating some of the freshest pesto pasta we ever made. The other students also had a great time.

Chef Derrick was great and thorough with his explanations. Took the sushi course with him and he showed us how to make a few different kinds of rolls and even some hand rolls! Ingredients were great and everything tasted awesome. Would definitely recommend!
