Cooking Class: Chile on the Table
The charming culinary heritage of Chile becomes a home dining menu thanks to this exciting interactive cooking class from Chef Gustavo. He'll share his personal experience with the cuisine as he demonstrates a menu filled with flavorful regional favorites. Create a seafood dish featuring mussels flavored with garlic, goat cheese and white wine, prepare pastel de chocolo, a hearty blend of ground beef, chicken and olives garnished with corn and cheese. For dessert, whip up a meringue treat flavored with almonds and milk for a decadent traditional sweet dish.

Choritos al Alicate
With mussels, goat cheese, chorizo, garlic, butter, white wine and parsley sauce

With ground beef, chicken, Kalamata olives, basil and hard-boiled eggs

Meet your chef
As owner and executive chef of the lively and eclectic Rumba Cafe in Washington, D.C.'s Adams Morgan district for 20 years, Chef Gustavo has a deep love and appreciation for Latin American cuisine. He brings international inspiration from his travels through Latin America, France, Spain and the Caribbean. Chef Gustavo studied at the prestigious L'Academie de Cuisine and is available to teach cooking classes in both English and Spanish.
