In this immersive lecture cooking class, you'll learn the history of canning and how to turn tinned seafood into delicious dishes. First, learn how to make decadent little tea cakes with tinned tuna and cucumbers, flavored with dill and cayenne pepper on mini pumpernickel bread. Next, make linguini with tinned anchovies and capers, topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and a drizzle of olive oil. Finish the class by making sardine tacos topped with avocados and spicy jalapeño cream in homemade flour tortillas. Plus, learn essential cooking techniques to elevate future meals.

Salmon Cucumber Tea Cakes
With pink or red tinned salmon, crunchy English cucumbers, fresh dill, lemon juice,
cayenne pepper, butter, Greek yogurt and pumpernickel or rye bread
Garlicky Fresh Linguini
With tinned anchovies, capers, Calabrian peppers or red pepper flakes,
parsley, Parmesan cheese and olive oil
Sardine Tacos With a Jalapeño Crema
With tinned sardines, avocados, jalapeño, garlic, lime juice, cilantro,
purple and green cabbage, sour cream and homemade flour tortillas
