I was quite shocked upon arrival to find out it was in an outside bar place. No kitchen! It was so hot and everyone was sweating. Everyone who came in was just as surprised as I was. Everything was cooked on her hot plates she brought with her. The ad said “cook with” but we watched her cook the entire time except one small part at which we were rolling dough on the tables. The only positive thing I have to say about this class was that the chef was very nice and her sauce she made was good. I felt cheated out of what was supposed to be a fun experience and date night for me and my husband.

While I did learn somthing, the class felt like more of a demonstration with the only hands on part being the actual making of the dumpling. Which honestly seemed unsanitary as no one was asked to wash their hands before they dunked their fingers in a communal cup of water to seal the dumpling edges. Dumplings were collected & cooked by the chef and shared amongst the group, so you had no idea whose hands were just on your food. It was interesting for this to be set up in a bar, not the setting I was imagining but convenient to get a drink. I don’t regret this experience, but I wouldn’t do it again.

Class was great! I think if the tables were more faced towards the chef, it would have been a more insightful learning experience.
