Cooking Class: Southern Cooking for Little Chefs

Chef Mary Ann gets young gourmets in the kitchen for a lesson in Southern comfort food classics! Your budding cooks will learn about kitchen safety, use of utensils and measurement, and the excitement of creating their own authentic Southern recipes. 


Their lesson begins with creamy macaroni and cheese, a familiar dish with a tasty homemade upgrade, and crispy fried chicken with a batch of buttermilk biscuits and honey butter made from scratch. They'll also create a tangy frozen strawberry lemonade treat to whet their whistles! A minimum of one adult is required to be in attendance per group. Adults are required to purchase tickets in addition to kids. This class is recommended for ages 8-12.

Going to Chef Mary Ann was quite an inspiration! I felt totally transported to Italy with her delicate dishes full of aromas that you can only find in an authentic Italian home. She presented her lessons with her amazing style, and made me feel as if I was cooking with a superstar Italian grandmother. Thanks for such a wonderful time!!
